Why a puzzle a day the short version
A daily puzzle is a strange kind of game. There is exactly one of it, everybody gets the same one, and when it is finished it is finished. That sounds like a limitation and it is the entire point. It makes a result comparable, it makes a streak mean something, and it gives the day a small fixed shape instead of an open session that ends whenever you get bored.
Everything here is built by us. No frame around the game, no advert inside the board, nobody watching what you type. The archive stays open, so a day you missed is never a day you lost, and nothing on this page asks you to register before you are allowed to enjoy yourself.
