Hex FRVR

Hex FRVR takes the drop-a-shape-onto-a-grid formula and swaps the square board for a hexagon, with one useful twist: you get to pick which shape to place instead of just accepting whatever comes next. That choice changes the whole feel compared to a standard block-fitting game, since you can plan a couple of moves ahead instead of reacting to bad luck. Full lines across the hexagon clear, and past that the goal is really just seeing how long you can keep the board open.
