Candy Bubble
Candy Bubble is a bubble shooter set in a candy landscape, played in a tall portrait window with a princess firing from the bottom of the screen. Join three bubbles of the same colour and they pop.
What makes it a puzzle rather than target practice is the shot counter. Every level hands you a fixed number of bubbles, twenty on the opening board, and the count drops whether you hit something or not. A bubble that lands where nothing matches does not only waste a shot, it sticks to the cluster and makes the board bigger, so two or three careless shots can leave a level unfinishable with what you have left.
The goal meter at the top right fills as you clear, and the star bar beside the score decides how well you finished rather than whether you finished.
How to play Candy Bubble
Getting started
- The launcher sits at the bottom of the screen and shows the bubble you are about to fire, with the next one waiting beside it.
- Move the pointer to aim. A dotted line traces the path the bubble will take.
- Click or tap to fire.
Clearing bubbles
- A bubble pops when it joins two others of the same colour, so three touching bubbles of one colour is the smallest clear.
- Bubbles hanging below the group you popped lose their support and fall off the board.
- The number on the launcher is how many bubbles you have left for the level. It counts down on every shot, hit or miss.
Finishing a level
- The meter at the top right fills as you clear. Fill it before you run out of bubbles.
- The star bar beside your score rates the finish, so a level can be passed with one star or with three.
Tips and strategy
Aim for the bubbles underneath a cluster rather than the ones sitting on top. Popping a group low in the stack drops everything hanging from it, and one well placed shot can take down ten bubbles that three shots at the surface would never reach. Before firing, look for a spot where your current colour already has two neighbours touching, because that is a certain pop rather than a hopeful one. Use the preview of the next bubble: if the one in the launcher has nowhere useful to go, it is often worth parking it somewhere harmless at the edge so the colour you actually want arrives on the shot that matters. Watch the counter rather than the clock, since there is no clock. Two wasted shots early cost more than a slow, careful level, and every miss widens the cluster, which makes each later shot harder than the one before it.

Frequently asked questions
How do you pop bubbles in Candy Bubble?
Fire a bubble into two or more of the same colour. Three touching bubbles of one colour is the smallest group that clears.
Is there a time limit in Candy Bubble?
No. The limit is the number of bubbles you are given for the level, shown on the launcher, and it drops with every shot whether you hit or miss.
What happens if I miss?
The bubble sticks to the cluster where it lands. It costs you a shot and makes the board slightly wider, so a miss is more expensive than it looks.
How do I earn three stars?
Stars come from your score rather than from simply finishing, so clearing a large group in one shot rates higher than removing the same bubbles a few at a time.
Can I play Candy Bubble on a phone?
Yes. The board is laid out in portrait and the whole game is one tap to aim and fire, so it plays the same on a phone as on a desktop.
