Match Masters

Two players share one board in Match Masters, taking turns instead of racing a shared clock, which changes how match-3 usually feels. Every swap you make can set up a combo for yourself or hand your opponent an easy match on their next turn, so you end up reading their position almost as much as your own before committing to a move. Matching tiles fills a booster meter, but blue and red stars split which side actually benefits from it, meaning a careless swap can arm the other player instead of you. Turns keep things slower and more deliberate than typical match-3, which is either exactly what you want from a head-to-head version or a pace adjustment you'll need a round or two to get used to.
