Chess Grandmaster

Two ways to play here: a straight game against the computer, or a set of forced-mate puzzles where you have to deliver checkmate in exactly two, three, or four moves. The puzzles are the more interesting mode once you already know the rules cold — finding a mate in four means calculating several moves ahead and ruling out anything that lets your opponent slip free. This one is built for players past the beginner stage; it won't walk you through the basics the way an introductory chess game would.
